Students at Mediterranean College have the opportunity to participate in summer courses taking place at the partner UK University and are organised either for subject-specific or for English language purposes.
This unique arrangement gives students the chance to visit the parent University and live the experience of studying – even for a short term – in a major UK higher education institution.
During the one –week summer course, students attend lectures, seminars and conferences in their subject-area, while they also participate in field trips, site-seeing excursions and networking events. To make this visit financially feasible, students are usually hosted by the University in the halls of residence and are offered some meals and transportation.
For students who choose the international English summer school, to improve their language skills, the University organises an intensive teaching course that is complemented with a variety of cultural and recreational activities. Students from all over the world participate in the English summer course, thus providing an exceptional opportunity for inter-cultural interaction. This is usually a two-week programme that comes at a cost.
