Everyone can have a writer in them! The School of Education of Mediterranean College Thessaloniki launces a Creative Writing Short Story contest titled: “Classic Fairytale Heroes in New Adventures”.
Give life to your favourite fairytale heroes and send your own short story between 20/2/2017 and 20/5/2017 at the e-mail address: [email protected] along with your contact details (name and telephone number). The “Thermaikos” Publishing House of IANOS Culture Chain in partnership with Mediterranean College will publish the awarded short stories.
The competition’s jury is comprised of literature professors and writers. More specific:
- Andreas Karakitsios, Professor in Modern Greek and Children’s Literature – Aristotle University, Writer
- Sofia Gavriilidou, Deputy Professor of Comparative Literature, Aristotle University
- Vangelis Tasiopoulos, Writer, Poet, Educator, General Secretary of the Thessaloniki Writers Association
- Christina Kalaitzi, PhD candidate Aristotle University, Programme Leader – Mediterranean College School of Education, Writer
The names of the awarded contestants, whose short stories will be included in the Short Story collection, will be announced on the College’s website one month after the end of the submission deadline.

- The text should be within one (1) A4 page
- Fonts: Times New Roman, 12’, 1,5 line spacing
- Language: Greek
- Type of text: Short Story
