Christina Ioannou is a psychologist – trainee psychotherapist of Systemic Family and Couples Therapy and has a private practice at the centre of Athens. At the same time, she collaborates with Panteion University of Social and Political Sciences, where she coordinates the EU-funded project BRING-In, which involves training social and health care professionals to better meet the needs of and ultimately combat discrimination against intersex individuals. She obtained a Doctorate (PhD) from École Normale Supérieure – Ulm. She holds a Master’s degree in Cognitive Neuroscience (MSc) and a Bachelor’s degree in Psychology (BSc Hons) from the University of Reading, where she worked as an ABA therapist for young children with autism and as an academic and social mentor for university students with mental health needs.
Interests: ASD, special education, inclusive education, sexual orientation and gender identity issues, gender, communication, intra- and inter- personal conflict, familial and couple’s difficulties.
