The Annual Learning and Teaching Conference is regarded as the premier part of Mediterranean College’s staff development plan. It is a one-day event, addressed to all members of staff, conducted in a collegiate and inspiring atmosphere.
The conference aims to inform participants on the latest applications and developments in education, to help them cultivate their teaching and research skills and to disseminate best practices among academic staff of the different Schools of the College. The ultimate effect is staff to improve their contribution and performance in their teaching and tutoring roles and students to receive a better learning experience at the College.
The Conference format may change and evolve over the years, but it usually consists of a keynote speech by an external, distinguished professional in Education, a number of parallel seminars and workshops and poster presentations. Staff are encouraged to actively contribute to the Conference, by delivering a session and sharing their experience and best practice. Coffee and snacks are offered throughout the day and all delegates receive a Certificate of Attendance.
