Mediterranean College operates a support mechanism for students with motor or physical disabilities, learning difficulties or mild mental disorders, either by providing relevant services and infrastructure or by using alternative methods in teaching and assessment.
Provided services & infrastructure:
- Operation of a Counselling Centre
- Personal assistant
- Personal tutor
- Building accessibility (90% of College facilities are wheelchair accessible, while there is also a WC for People with Disabilities)
- Laptop (to borrow)
- Recorder (to borrow)
Adjustments in teaching and assessment:
- More time available in exams
- Oral examination
- Examination on computer
- Examination with the presence of a typewriter
- More time available (extension) for writing papers
- Recognition of mitigating circumstances (no penalty placed) in case of missing the exam period
- Alternative assessment method
- Printing notes in bigger font size
If you deal with some of the issues above, you should contact the Programme Administrator or the Student Affairs Office and submit the relevant supporting documents (where appropriate), in order to be benefited from the College services and the alternative forms of teaching/ assessment. In any case, the College makes adjustments in student assessment only with the consent of the partner educational institute.
