Anastasia Benekou – Adjunct Tutor at the Undergraduate School of Education (BA) at Mediterranean College.
Anastasia holds a Master’s in Business Administration (MBA) from the University of Kent in Canterbury and she was awarded the Chevening Scholarship for the year 2019 -2020 from the UK Government in collaboration with the John Latsis Public Benefit Foundation. She earned her bachelor’s degree in psychology from the Aristoteleion University in Thessaloniki and her master’s degree in Counselling Studies (Msc) from the University of Edinburgh. She is also an accredited Cognitive Behavioural Psychotherapist from the Greek Association of Behavioural Research in Thessaloniki.
She has a combined background as a therapist and also in management positions both in the private and public sector in Greece. She has worked at the Greek Alzheimer’s Association as a psychologist and in various NGOs in Greece both as a therapist but also as country director, assisting in the psychosocial support, education and holistic integration of the refugees in Greece.
