Ioanna Menegatou has a bachelor’s degree in Philosophy, Pedagogy and Psychology from the National and Kapodistrian University of Athens with chosen pathway in Psychology. Following this she obtained a master’s degree in Inclusion and Special Educational Needs from the University of Birmingham. She attended a number of courses and seminars in relation to provision and assessment of students with Autism Spectrum Disorder, Dyslexia, ADHD, Social Emotional and Behavioral Needs (Makaton, PECS, TEACCH, Lego- based Therapy, Social Stories, ABA). Ioanna had worked in various educational settings and provisions carrying out assessments and delivering intervention programs, in Greece, Switzerland and in the UK. Ioanna has been working as an Education Health Care Coordinator in Special Educational Needs Service in London for over 6 years where she was responsible to coordinate the assessments process and issue the final statements of SEN (Education Health and Care Plans).
At Mediterranean College, Ioanna leads the placement module of the postgraduate programme MA Inclusion and Special Educational Needs and Disabilities.
