The HEAR is made available to all University of Derby graduates from Mediterranean College at the time of graduation. Its main purpose is to capture the totality of a student’s performance and to enable a student to represent a wide range of their achievements to employers and postgraduate tutors, thereby enhancing their employability.
The HEAR is a recognised and permanent report that includes academic information about the students’ course and what they had to do to achieve each module and grade. It also includes awards and recognised extra-curricular activities, including sports, societies and volunteering.
A HEAR helps students structure their CV and covering letters when applying for jobs or post-graduate study. The HEAR can also help with talent matching, meaning that students can connect with employers that are looking for people with their education, skills and interests. Large graduate recruiters can also find it useful to have a validated report of candidates’ skills and education – reducing the time they need to spend verifying this information.
Mediterranean College captures the engagement and achievement of its students in the multiple and diverse academic and extra-curricular activities it organises, thus giving a competitive edge to those who are actively involved and excel!
