With a long and distinguished presence, Mediterranean College organizes open Conferences on major issues of the society and the economy, as well as internal Conferences to the development of its lecturers and students.
Conference “Greece an International Intellectual Centre”
In October 1995, in the European Cultural Centre of Delfi, the large-scale conference on: “GREECE, AN INTERNATIONAL INTELLECTUAL CENTRE: NATIONAL RIGHT AND OBLIGATION” takes place. It is an ambitious plan with the support and participation of a great number of institutions and prominent figures of the intellectual, cultural, political and economic sector. The main sections and individual topics of the conference are set out in a pre-conference organized in Zappeion six months before the implementation of the large conference in Delfi. The Scientific Committee comprises among others Mr. Lefas (Mayor of Delfi), A. Lentakis (Parliamentarian), G. Niotis (Deputy Minister for Foreign Affairs), G. Pavlos (Professor of the University of Thrace), V. Polydoras (Parliamentarian), M. – Th. Poulantzas (Professor of the University of Rome), I. Tzanetakos (Journalist).
Annual Teaching and Learning Conference
Mediterranean College, concerned about providing its human resources with development opportunities in the direction of achieving its academic goals, organizes the Annual Teaching & Learning Conference. It is a number of seminars and workshops covering a wide spectrum of topical issues, which the lecturers of all College programmes have to deal with in order to carry through their work.
Annual Student Conference
The Annual Student Conference intends to provide the Mediterranean College students with the experience of participating in a scientific meeting. Target of this meeting is the presentation and discussion of issues concerning the modern trends in the scientific fields offered by the College in collaboration with foreign academic institutes. Students of the Mediterranean College and other public or private higher educational institutes are requested to participate in the Conference with the submission of proposals (posters or presentations). The proposals are assessed and selected by the Scientific Committee of the Conference.
